Hot pressing process of Nitride bonded Silicon Carbide
- Mar 04, 2019 -

Everyone knows that the main role of nitrogen-carbon-bonded silicon carbide products in the application process is to resist high temperature, corrosion, and prolong the service life of industrial equipment, which will bring better results for enterprises to save energy and reduce emissions. Moreover, the Nitride bonded Silicon Carbide have undergone corresponding strength tests, can withstand high temperatures and do not shrink or extremely shrinkage at high temperatures, and have extremely low load softening properties, which can resist the concurrency caused by excessive temperature changes. The factor also has excellent thermal conductivity.

Nitrogen-carbon bonded silicon carbide products can be produced by hot pressing methods, mainly including two different hot pressing processes of thermoplastic pressing and slow diffusion. In the thermoplastic pressing process, the silicon carbide material is related to the plasticity of the strongly heated material, which is determined by heating the material to a thermoplastic state and then pressing it. When thermoplastically pressed, the densification is achieved by a method of pressurizing the mud when the mud undergoes severe plastic deformation when heated. The blank is usually preheated and then placed in a stamper to apply pressure.

Another hot pressing process of the thermoplastic press and slow diffusion principle utilizes the slow diffusion sintering principle. This method is usually carried out at a higher temperature than the thermoplastic press method and takes a long time. Pressure is applied to the powder that is heated directly within the mold for a certain period of time.www.hshightec.com
