Product advantages and effects of the nitride bonded silicon carbide

The premixed liquid of nitride bonded silicon carbide adopts an organic binder mainly composed of ethyl silicate, which avoids the hydration reaction of the silicon powder; and at the same time, since the surface energy of the ethyl silicate-based organic binder is low, it is easy to degas. The pores in the nitrogen-carbon bonded silicon carbide product blank are greatly reduced, and the density is increased.


Since the nitride bonded silicon carbide uses an organic solvent having a higher evaporation rate than water such as absolute ethanol as a dispersion medium, it is not required to perform pre-drying under high humidity and room temperature, and it is not required to be higher than room temperature. It is further dried in an oven and directly sintered, saving energy and production time.


The nitride bonded silicon carbide obtained after drying at room temperature has a certain hardness, and the green body obtained by the previous gel injection molding method has certain elasticity, so it does not occur due to gravity during the drying process. The deformation ensures the dimensional accuracy of the nitrogen-carbon bonded silicon carbide product. High-quality silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide ceramic crucibles have high density, excellent mechanical properties and resistance to earthquakes and heat.


After the use of the nitride bonded silicon carbide, we prepare the slurry composed of the particle-grade silicon carbide and silicon powder to prepare the premix liquid curing agent, then vacuum degas the slurry, add the curing agent, and cast silicon carbide and silicon powder. The product produced after the high-temperature sintering of the mixed slurry is subjected to a hot test, and the experiment achieves the desired effect.
